"We are malleable bodies - built and molded by what stirs within": The Immersing work of Daeizm

Today is glorious. Because of this. Because of sun came up again. Because I've been blessed with the chance to feature another amazingly powerful poet right here on The Swe(E)t. Prepare to fall in literary love.

It is with profound honor that I present the growth provoking work of poet and author, Dae D. Lee, known as Daeizm to most. From Los Angeles, CA, Daeizm's story of perseverance using writing as a sanctuary from depression is both beautiful and powerful. It explains the frequency of eloquent passion and rawness that flows off the page in each piece he's graced us with, thus far.

Daeizm words are self-affirming and soul awakening in a way that nurtures the psyche, covers darkness in love, and emphasizes the importance of black voices/black thoughts/black light. There is a healing quality to his introspective approach toward a more elevated sense of peace and purpose. When I read Daeizm's poetry, I know that I am not alone.

"I'm continuing to learn through so many Black hearts that are rest, our state of happiness and being, pleasure and peace are still radical too. I say this to ya'll cause this hits differently for us. When you're reading my words, know that they are for you. Every experience and line, every chant and cry, prayer and space, I do for you." I'm certain that you poetry swooning at this point. Getting your life. I know, I know. It's difficult to not be incredibly drawn to Daeizm's work, so rich in gems that will become mantras to you own journey in find peace within. It will be your battle cry as you scale the walls toward revolution.
